This is an update to the Cyclone Nargis: Lessons and implications for ICTs in Humanitarian Aid report. The original report dealt with the period from 4 – 25 May 2008. Developments in the Humanitarian Assistance / Disaster Response (HA/DR) scenario in general and the emergency telecommunications sector in particular are dealt with in this brief update. Further, the last section expands on recommendations and strategies for engagement proposed in the draft report. |
