Published by the Crisis Management Initiative , Peace IT! aims to further the debate on how to advance the professionalism in preventing, managing and resolving crisis through the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs). It also advocates the importance of the safety and security issues and information sharing in the field.

The journal is basically divided into three different sections: Bridging the gap between research and practice, ICTs in the field and the role of the private sector in building peace.
